Professionals

Alex's athletes are well represented among the ranks of World, National and Olympic Champions. (Novice and intermediate athletes have shown comparably remarkable gains from Alex's highly accomplished coaching expertise. See fitness enthusiasts/thrill seekers.)

Alex & Michael
"I have swum with Alex for two years. His experiences as an elite athlete and coach in a vaunted sports program provide him with a global perspective on sports and training that has often benefited my workouts and my competitive performance."
Michael McCormack,

  • Twice Ironman Canada Champion
  • Runner-up, Ironman Japan
  • Second American finisher, Kona ‘96 (Ironman World Championships)

    Alex & Edouard
A Silver Medalist in the Atlanta '97 Olympics, Edouard swim-trained with Alex as a member of the Russian National and Olympic Pentathlon teams.

    Anatoly
Finishing third in Switzerland ('95) and sixth at Kona ('96) for the 45's age group, Anatoly swim-trained with Alex as a member of the Ukranian National Pentathlon team. Anatoly was a multi-sport coach at Alex's Olympic Institute in Lvov and he has been the full time coach of some of Russia's top triathletes and pentathletes (many of whom train with him as members of the Ukraine National Pentathlon Team). Pending his visa approval, we anticipate his on-site training expertise for the Aqua-Terra Triathlon Training clinics in the spring and summer.

    Alex & Gregory
From age eleven, Alex individually coached Gregory Bremel to two World Pentathlon Championships and two Russian National Pentathlon Championships.

    Bogdan
Mikhalus, finishing 30th in the 1997 Kona World Championships (13th fastest swim time), swim-trained with Alex as a member of the Russian National Pentathlon Team. He is one of several elite masters who will be visiting our Masters and Aqua-Terra Triathlon Training programs in '98 (look to swim with Bogdan the week of Nov., 1st.).

    Svatkovsky
Svatkovsky (far left), 1997 World Pentathlon Champion, swim-trained with Alex as a member of the Russian National Pentathlon Team. He has won several international and national level pentathlon events. He relaxes in San Antonio with Olympic Silver Medalist Zanovka (far right) before competing in the U.S. open Pentathlon Championships.

    Alex & Ted
We really like this guy. A member of the 1970 NCAA Division I Champion Indiana University Swim Team, and a seasoned multisport coach (swimming, track, and basketball), Ted has been at the helm for several winning programs including the Grover Cleveland Middle School Track Team (1991 City Champions). He has been a frequent finalist in the Bay State Games (Track and Field, Swimming, Hammer Throw) and a first alternate at the United States Olympic Festival (Kayak). Ted, has given us a warm welcome at his Mason Pool facility, and we look forward to a world-class, swim-training partnership.
